On the 15th November, 2023 The Youth Anti-corruption Society in collaboration with Nigeria Student Legislative Council, Nationwide, NSLC and Finance and banking, Faculty of Management Sciences, at the University of Port Harcourt, Organised A One Day National Conference And Campaign Awareness on Drug Abuse (On COLOS) Illicit Substance and Cyber-Crime. The conference encapsulated lecture presentation, free medical outreach, sensitization, music, distribution of mosquito nets, distribution of drug branded notebooks, cleaning agents and other refreshing items to complement the occasion.
The aim of the national conference was to create public awareness in order to encourage youth and students to shun social vices, drug abuse and adjudicate for a peaceful and development oriented society, under the auspices of Head of State Representatives, Abibo, Samson Daniel and Rivers State Rep, Tambari Jacob, the campaign of reaching 50 Government Schools, and sensitization against drug addiction, illicit substance and cyber-crime in all tertiary institution in Rivers state and beyond was launched. It is tagged “OUR WAYS, OUR CULTURE PROJECT 2024.
