On the 8th of November, 2023, The YOUTH ANTI-CORRUPTION SOCIETY under the Head of State Representatives, paid a courtesy visit to the zonal commander, Ace Ahmed Ghale, at the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) Port Harcourt, Zonal Office, Rivers State.
The visit featured the introduction of the body at the state level as we also seek partnership and collaboration with the commission for the upcoming National conference holding at the University of Port Harcourt.
The chairman cpc, Abibo, Samson D, intimate the zonal commander of the need to organise a two day national conference with the theme: Drug abuse, (on colos) illicit substances and cyber-crime One of the aim is to massively sensitize the public on all social handle, both local & International, enlighten the student community, and youth of the dangers of illicit substances, drug addiction, cyber-crime and other social-vices. “The conference will not be complete without the partnership of critical stakeholders of government agencies, non-governmental organisation, and civil society, he added”.
In return, the zonal commander, sir, ACE Ahmed Ghale, thanked the YASNigeria delegate and welcome the initiative. This is loudable, he said; and I’m impressed by your commitment and proactive approach as you and your team have taken to support the commission in the fight against drug abuse, illicit substances and cyber-crime. You must not relent on this project and most continue to do same across the various institution, etc. He further promise to give necessary support to the YASNigeria in the fight against cyber-crime and other related offenses as it affects the commission. He charged the YASNigeria to be dedicated in it services. “We look forward to more of such programs, he added”.
The secretary, Ofurum, Grace Amarachi appreciated the zonal commander Ahmed Ghale and his dynamic team for the privilege and opportunity to meet, interact, and partner with the commission. She also emphasized on the medical outreach and the importance of healthy living in our today society.
Mr Abibo, S.D, thanked the zonal commander for the warm reception, bids the commander, and team a farewell.
