In the light of the above, the central planning committee paid a courtesy visit to the youth & student friendly honourable member representing Bonny state constituency, High Comr. Hon. Victor Oko-jumbo at the Rivers State House of Assembly, Port Harcourt in his office.
The visit was aimed at craving the indulgence of the honourable member towards the high rate of cyber-crime in the society, youth and student involvement in hard drugs and the use of illicit substances.
Hon. Victor Oko-jumbo welcomed the delegation and appreciated them for a thoughtful and well engrossed initiative towards youth advancement and development. He admonishes the delegation on area such as discipline, home training which has play so much role in his personal upbringing, character modelling and the right decision that has helped him standout. The program is timely, given the recent circumstances of missing girls and those butchered by their supposed boyfriend due to lack of contentment, he added.
Furthermore; He said the program will help sensitize the younger and upcoming youths on the dangers and effect of drug abuse and how it can trucate their future, which is not Farfetched.
Finally; He buttress that the “process” must always precede the “product” and to every action there is a reaction and to every decision there’s a consequence. ‘Whatever decision or action we make determine the success of our future, he added.
Ms Jumbo Balafama thanked Hon. Oko-jumbo for the warm hospitality and reception given to the delegates. Mr Abibo, Samson bids the honourable member a farewell and pray that the almighty God will continue to direct and guide his path.
